Rabo Ventures
Rabo Ventures is a leading venture capital fund that focuses on fast growing clean technology companies. The cleantech industry encompasses a broad range of technologies dealing with renewable energy generation and environmental issues such as clean water and clean air.
The clean tech industry can be divided into the following segments:

Rabo Ventures is part of the Rabobank Group, ranked as one of the top 25 global financial institutions and a leader in sustainability-oriented banking. Rabobank has been involved in the financing of large sustainable projects such as bio-fuel plants and wind parks in different European countries for the last several years. In line with the greater ambition of Rabobank to provide services for the entire industry, the bank has launched Rabo Ventures to help finance innovations in clean technology.
Investment philosophy
Rabo Ventures invests in companies that are developing innovative clean technologies. Our geographical focus is on Europe and North America. When investing outside of the Netherlands we will partner with other VC’s. One such partner is Emerald Technology Ventures, a leading cleantech venture capital firm with a strong track record, with teams operating in Zurich and Montreal (Canada).
We invest in early stage companies, which have at least a working prototype and ideally already have a potential customer and/or partner, thereby proving the marketability of their product. The capital we provide enables the management team to expand the company and bring the product or service to market.
Partners in ambition
Amsterdam based Rabo Ventures focuses on fast growing companies in the cleantech industry, covering the European and North American markets. In exchange for its investment Rabo Ventures obtains a percentage of the company's shares. In addition to the capital it provides, Rabo Ventures offers entrepreneurs access to a broad network within the cleantech industry and the international VC community.
